My fascination with polymer clay began in 1992 while attending a craft show. At this show, I purchased a cow made of polymer clay not even realizing what it was made of. After asking a few questions at our local art supplier, he advised me that it was definitely made of polymer clay. He proceeded to inform me that polymer clay is made of an oil based PVC and plasticizer mixture and that it must be baked to cure, for it would not harden without being baked. He also carried polymer clay, so I purchased a box, went home and proceeded to mimic the cow I purchased. To my surprise, I enjoyed working with this medium and appeared to have a talent of sculpting with my hands.

In 1993, I began attending small craft shows with my new creations. You would find me setting up a display mostly in fire halls and church bazaars. As the years passed, I began making angels, then on to Santa’s and now my personal favorite, snowmen. I have snowmen doing almost anything you could imagine. I have sledding snowmen, skiing snowmen, angel snowmen and the list goes on and on. I have also recently began sculpting Santa faces and using sheep’s wool for the beard and hair. I strive to make most of them look like an old time Santa, but I also do some modern Santa’s. Every item I carry has a very “special” look. They may all appear to be the same, but they all have their own little personality. No two are alike because they are all “hand sculpted”. I use no push molds nor do I ever duplicate from someone else’s work. Every item I carry is a unique creation, which was created by me.

 Almost everything I carry is in the form of an ornament, but I do have many other items that aren’t meant for a Christmas tree or shaker pegs. I feel that I have a little piece of “country” for everyone mature, young and in between. So please sit back and enjoy, and please come again!
